Position Summary: Serves as the training administrator within the School of Systems and Logistics for the live (resident, on-site) Professional Continuing Education (PCE) and web-based PCE, an acknowledged and demonstrated computerized instructional system designed to improve the skills of students across multiple acquisition and sustainment disciplines.

 

Position Location: Department of Air Force, Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), School of Systems and Logistics, Department of Business Operations and Management (AFIT/LSA), Wright Patterson AFB, OH.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

 MAJOR DUTIES:

 

      Performs and manages scheduler responsibilities.

      Manages and schedules school facilities, classrooms, and equipment.

      Manages lodging and transportation scheduling duties.

      Manages and provides educational program technical information.

•    Serves as project manager for the school’s SharePoint-based intranet management information systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:  You must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade (GS-07) in the Federal service, or equivalent. (Federal service is not a requirement). Specialized experience is experience scheduling Professional Continuing Education (PCE), or scheduling very similar post-secondary courses, providing logistical support to students, classrooms, and equipment assignments. Examples of experience would include:  prepares and maintains all classrooms and breakout rooms for PCE, or  similar courses, and conferences, to ensure necessary facilities are available; provides registrar support functions within the school for live and web-based courses; enters schedule changes in hard or electronic data tracking systems for key personnel access; develops/designs registration and student accounting activities required during development, implementation, validation, operation, evaluation, maintenance and continued support of all level and web-based instructional systems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):  Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 

        Knowledge of the organization and educational mission, organizations serviced, key personnel, and specific School/office practices/procedures to perform internal educational support activities and logistics support processes for student registration and reporting procedures to ensure that student information is accurately collected, compiled, and properly documented.

        Ability to solve problems and identify significant factors, gathers pertinent data, and recognizes solutions. General mathematical ability and practical knowledge of computer applications, data sources, data flow, and automated database management.

        Ability to establish and maintain relationships with key individuals/groups outside immediate work unit. Ability to communicate effectively, and deal tactfully and diplomatically with a variety of people at all levels in pressure situations.

        Ability to plan and organize work.

  • Work may require travel away from the normal duty station on military and commercial aircraft.
