Location: This position is within the VA Intergrated Operations Center at Washington, DC

Competitive Merit Promotion

*Transfer or Reinstatement eligibles: current Federal or former employees with career or career-conditional appointments in the competitive service that hold, or have held a career or career-conditional position at a lower grade level as the position being announced for any length of time. An SF-50 must show appointment in the competitive service.

Duties

Major duties for this position include:

         

    ·         Performs analytical, evaluative, and operational activities ranging from crisis response operations and special projects (emergency and non- emergency) to routine daily tasks and exercises in support of the OALC.

    ·         Monitors domestic and world situations from the VA OIC for situations that might impact Continuity of Operations (COOP) for OALC.

    ·         Conducts immediate actions in response to crisis management requirements alerts, Emergency Relocation Group (ERG) members and other senior official on issues that impact daily operations for OALC; and provides recommendations to senior leadership regarding courses of actions and protection actions during crisis events.

    ·         Gathers and analyzes information from various sources to present and brief senior leadership about the actual or potential impact to the organization’s operational readiness.

    ·         Ensure that incident reports forwarded to personnel and logged.
