Duties include; Clinical functions such as signing out surgical pathology specimens, performing frozen section from operating room, supervising and singing out autopsies with pathology residents. Interpreting protein electrophoresis, overseeing clinical chemistry and blood bank and coordinating anatomic pathology proficiency and Quality Assurance techniques.

Other duties include taking care of administrative duties as a member of several boards and committees and working with pathology residents in autopsy and teaching house-staff and medical students on pathology rotation.

Developing a strong affiliation with our academic partner, the University of Utah. Need to build an academically oriented service including both education and research.
