The NASA Office of Inspector General (OIG) conducts audits, reviews, and investigations of NASA programs and operations to prevent and detect fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement and to assist NASA management in promoting economy, efficiency, and effectiveness. The OIG consists of approximately 200 auditors, analysts, specialists, investigators, attorneys, and support staff at NASA Headquarters in Washington DC, and NASA Centers throughout the U.S.
The NASA Office of Inspector General conducts objective oversight of NASA programs and operations and independently reports to the NASA Administrator, Congress, and the public to further the Agency's accomplishment of its mission. The incumbent of this position serves as a program assistant in the Office of Inspector General (OIG) and is responsible for conducting general administrative duties required by NASA and the OIG, and for providing administrative assistance to attorneys, auditors, criminal investigators, and other OIG staff located at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, at NASA Headquarters, and at other NASA OIG offices."
This position is located at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA.
