DUTY LOCATION: Marksmanship Training Center(MTC), Camp Joseph T Robinson, NLR, Arkansas
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: This is an Excepted (Dual Status Military Technician) position that requires active membership in a compatible skill in the Arkansas Army National Guard. Selectee must be a member of the Arkansas Army National Guard and be assigned to a compatible military position in a unit supported by MTC in Career Management Field (CMF)42, 92, or the predominant MOS of the unit. Must become compatible within 12 months of appointment.
IMPORTANT NOTES (AS APPLICABLE): Upon selection for this position, individual must possess or be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. A favorable determination based upon investigative results is mandatory for this position. Failure to meet these requirements will result in termination of employment. A pre-placement physical is required if not already current. Upon selection, must complete mandatory Full-Time Support (FTS) Training at the Professional Education Center (PEC) within six months of assignment (if applicable, training will be coordinated by the supervisor). Individual must meet all military requirements of the position without creating a grade inversion, as determined by the Human Resources Office (HRO).

The incumbent performs clerical and/or technical work assignments in one or more areas of military personnel work which represent the most difficult and challenging problems, and involve results,decisions and recommendations which significantly affect the military career of individuals. Prepares and processes unusual and non-routine military personnel staffing transactions. Carries out various duties and responsibilities associated with military personnel status actions, to include the maintenance and application of information and data contained in individual personnel records. Updates and keeps current various databases with military personnel data and information. Performs various administrative and finance duties relating to military personnel involving the composition and distribution of correspondence, publications, reports, special orders, pay, etc. Incumbent must understand and become certified on the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPPA). Understands the requirements of AR 25-2, Information Assurance, and becomes trained on the requirements of the protection of personally identifiable information (PII). Keeps unit records inspection ready at all times. Performs other duties as assigned

SPECIALIZED QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 9 months experience establishing and retrieving files and information; experience using common computer software designed for word processing.
PLACEMENT FACTORS: Applicants should demonstrate through prior experience, education and training the following: (1) Knowledge of personnel administration that includes all unit level training, logistics, and administrative functions. (2) Ability to understand and interpret regulations, policies and other guidance from higher authorities. (3) Knowledge of personnel records management, mobilization records, family care plans, payroll, and other required records. (4) Ability to prepare effective and understandable written communication by preparing reports, correspondence, and other necessary documents. (5) Ability to review, determine and resolve military personnel problems. (6) Skill in the operation of a computer and related software (i.e. Army Training Requirements and Resources Systems (ATRRS), Standard Installation and Division Personnel Reporting System (SIDPERS), Integrated Material Automation Program (IMAP), Integrated Personnel Electronic Records Management (IPERMS), Automated Fund Control Order System (AFCOS), Reserve Component Automation System (RCAS)Web, and other databases. (7) Completion of Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) producing school related to the position.
