NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED:  This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the New York Air National Guard.  Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.  Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. 

This position is located in the Operations Division of an Air Operation Group Headquarters.

Duties

Its paramount purpose is to provide instruction to upgrade skills to obtain maximum performance on all aspects of the force-level Air Operations Center (AOC) weapons system. In addition to training responsibilities, incumbent performs administrative tasks in support of the Air Operations Group. This position requires military membership. . It is designated for National Guard officer incumbency only. The incumbent provides subordinate guidance and team leadership to NDS and DS employees. Incumbent plans, organizes, manages, and performs duties necessary to accomplish theater aerospace command and control functions in support of programs essential to state Air National Guard daily operations, training, and readiness missions. Fosters an environment conducive to teaming among service providers and customers to meet state Air/Army National Guard requirements.
