This position is located in the Office of General Counsel, Legal Technology and Administration Division.

As an Information Technology Specialist in the Legal Technology and Administration Division, you will:

Ensure that OGC's automated procedures and systems are productive, reliable, and compliant with PBGC security directives.

Analyze and evaluate existing IT systems utilized by the Corporation and OGC for case processing and administration programs, and help identify required flexibility and adaptations to deal with increased workload.

Serve as liaison between program offices and IT organizations to convey and understand mutual IT needs and requirements.

In order to qualify for this position, you must possess the following by the closing date of the announcement:

One year of experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service serving as a technical expert for the administration and management of a legal case management system.  Examples include duties related to the support, enhancement, and development of automated litigation and case processing systems, legal networks, electronic libraries, and database administration.

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:

Category Rating is being used for this position.  If you meet the basic qualification requirements, we will further evaluate your resume to determine the quality and extent to which your background (experience, education, training, etc.) relates to the following knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs):

1) Skill in managing the administration of records-managed solutions, database procedures, Structured Query Language (SQL), hardware, software and protocols.

2) Skill in identifying possible business process improvements related to IT systems.

3) Skill in communicating technical information verbally.

Based on that evaluation, we will place you in one of the following categories- 1) Gold; 2) Silver; 3) Bronze.

If, after your application has been rated by the Subject Matter Expert, you are found to meet none of the KSAs listed above, you will be placed in the Bronze category.

 

In addition to the above, your experience must demonstrate the following competencies:
