This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Tobacco Products (CTP), Office of Health Communication and Education, Rockville, Maryland.

Duties

Incumbent of this position serves as the primary advisor for communication and marketing, providing critical expertise, management and oversight to activities involving organizing and directing activities; balancing, planning and prioritizing the workload of subordinate staff.  Actively collaborate with stakeholders to maintain and improve the research and practice of health communication and marketing.  Lead and direct a health communication and marketing program.  Develop and implement comprehensive and systematic approaches for responding to outside inquires; sponsoring and stimulating the application of advanced health communication and marketing technologies to maximize the delivery and impact of health information.  Develop  communication strategies to advance the goals and priorities of the Center.  Plan, organize, and oversee the activities of the Campaigns, Digital and Grants branches.  Establish, revise, or review policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the staff to eliminate work problems.
