IF APPLICABLE:  Military service member's "Statement of Service" will be accepted up to 120 days prior to separation date IF a terminal leave form or DD214 cannot be provided.  The "Statement of Service" must be signed by, or by direction of, the adjutant, personnel officer, or commander of your unit or higher headquarters and must indicate when your terminal leave will begin, your rank, dates of active duty service, the Type of Discharge and Character of Service (i.e. honorable).

 

This is a GG-11 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS).  The GG-11 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-11 level.  The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

·         Independently prepares accurate, clear, and concise written documents and electronic correspondence on moderately complex topics.

·         Incumbent exercises originality in anticipating major problems, recognizing future needs for the assigned broad area of responsibility.

·         Recognized as a subject matter expert in the area of logistics and practices.  Provides accurate and comprehensive lifecycle analysis, inventory and tracking of sensitive and high value systems/sub-systems, support equipment and related software.

·         Person-to-person work relationships that require interpretation of facts to consult/advise managers and program officials at the squadron, wing, and group levels on moderate to complex logistics management issues, procedures, and regulations.

·         Operates independently on all assignments and is required to keep supervisor apprised of progress and results.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS.  This position is in the Excepted Service.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 

Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience at the next lower qualifying pay band or equivalent grade under the General Schedule (GG/GS) pay system or other pay systems.  To be creditable, your resume must further reflect specialized experience demonstrating quality in the knowledge, skills abilities and competencies to meet the requirements of this position.  Specialized experience would have been gained by performing as a specialist in planning, coordinating, purchasing, receiving, tracking and managing Air Force systems acquisition and logistics management for the unit. Developing and executing cradle-to-grave logistics program supporting the detachment's test ad training systems, support equipment, related software, training, support services, and supplies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):  Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 

1.  Knowledge of an extensive body of rules, procedures, theories and principles, or operations requiring extended training and experience in order to perform a wide variety of interrelated or non-standard procedural assignments and resolve a wide range of problems; and practical knowledge of standard procedures in logistics management.

2.  Knowledge of the budget policies, precedents, goals, objectives, regulations, procedures and guidelines of the Air Force as they apply to logistics support, purchasing, custodian accounts, classified material control, and the Federal Acquisitions Regulation.

3.  Ability to assimilate technical inputs, and based on these data, provide sound logistics management advice.

4.  Knowledge of systems design along with familiarity of specifications and understanding of maintenance requirements during acquisition and other stages of a system project.

5.  Requires ability to analyze statistical and empirical data and /or translate raw requirements data from various and numerous sources into concise resource requirements and make sound recommendations which will withstand critical review.

6.  Knowledge of system life cycle concepts and design as they apply to the sustainment of IT systems/sub-systems.

 

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.  You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. 


ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Employee must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartment Information (SCI) access.  Employee is subject to short notice random urinalysis for drug testing.
