Minimum Education Requirements:
A bachelor's (or graduate) degree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position, from an accredited college or university OR a combination of experience and education which includes courses comparable to a major in a biological science, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry or related disciplines appropriate to this position, plus appropriate experience or additional education which demonstrates similarly appropriate skills or abilities needed to perform the duties of this position.
In addition to meeting the basic qualification requirements indicated above, you must meet the additional experience and/or education requirement as described below:
To qualify for the GS-9 - You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: reviewing research, training and fellowship grant applications; reviewing and interpreting scientific information for projects; providing administrative and scientific information for reports; conducting electronic searches for scientific and technical information; managing automated information tracking systems.
Have completed the requirements for a Master's or equivalent degree, or at least 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a related field.
Have a combination of post baccalaureate education and experience that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.
To qualify for the GS-11 - You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: assisting in developing, planning, and implementing biomedical research; calibrating and operating various laboratory instruments; performing analyses and developing new protocols and procedures for use in studies; analyzing and interpreting scientific data and preparing detailed summaries of laboratory findings, typically for publications.
Have successfully completed the requirements for a Ph.D. or equivalent degree, or have completed at least 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a related field.
Have a combination of graduate level education and experience that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.
