These positions are located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision and in the Community Affairs Branch in Dallas, TX and will be responsible for providing general filing or administrative support using one or more types of office automation software (electronic mail, word processing, calendars, spreadsheets, databases) to accomplish tasks and collect data from various database software, including entering, revising, sorting and retrieving.

All selectees must sign a Pathways Participant Agreement.  

The range of pay shown includes base pay plus a supplemental locality adjustment of 15.55%.  For more on FDIC locality rates, click here.

The applicant selected will be offered an excepted appointment not-to-exceed one year which may be extended an additional year depending on the needs of the agency and provided the employee continues to meet the definition of student.  Service in this Internship Program confers no right to further employment in the competitive or excepted service.

Please note that students will be expected to work full time during the summer and on holiday breaks and at least part time during the school year.  As a result candidates must attend school in the local commuting area or must live in the local commuting area of Dallas, Texas.

The incumbent will work in an office support capacity drafting correspondence, managing mail and postage, tracking activities and project completion, establishing, maintaining and filing records, receiving callers to the office responding to routine questions, and using software to prepare written materials including basic data entry and routine report generation.

Applicants must meet the qualification requirements consistent with OPM qualification standards applicable to the position being filled by the time of appointment.
For CG-4: Completion of 2 full academic years of post-high school study or associate's degree.


Completion of Confidential Financial Disclosure may be required.

Low Risk Position - National Agency Check Investigation (NACI) required.

Applicants must be in good academic standing with at least a cumulative (overall) 2.5 grade point average.
