This position is assigned to the FSA DAFP, Office of the Director, located in Washington, DC.

The selectee:

  • Serves as the Agency's program manager for environmental compliance, and as such is responsible for ensuring the compliance of Agency and applicable CCC programs, activities, and functions with numerous Federal, State, and local environmentally-related laws, regulations, and Executive Orders with full and independent responsibility for program planning, development, and implementation.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resources management, or chemistry.

OR

  • A combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experiences or additional education.

You may start at the GS-14 level if you have one of the following qualifications:

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.  Specialized experience requires an expert knowledge and skill in applying advanced theories, principles, concepts, practices, standards, and methods related to National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) that represent a major segment of Agency programs.  Comprehensive knowledge to be able to initiate, formulate and plan; as well as execute studies or specialized projects that involve all or some provisions of the NEPA process. The incumbent requires the knowledge to use findings of specialized studies, new analytical developments, and modified processes to resolve novel, obscure, or highly controversial problems that affect diverse programs areas.


TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS:  Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must meet the time-in-grade restriction.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION AND FINGERPRINT CHECK:  Selection and retention in this position is contingent on a successfully adjudicated FBI National Criminal History Check (fingerprint clearance) and a background investigation.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
