 VA Connecticut Healthcare System is looking for a current college student pursuing a bachelor's degree preferably in Human Resources. The internship would be located in the Human Resources Department at the West Haven Campus. Schedule and Hours are negotiable based on students college schedule.

The internship will consist of administrative duties in the Human Resources Department. Assists Human Resource Specialists with various duties in Staffing and Recruitment, Employee Relations/Labor Relations and Processing and Records. Various duties may consist of: qualifying applicants, job information, filing and scanning, and other clerical duties.

Receiving Service Credit for Earning Annual (Vacation) Leave: Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee. VA may offer newly-appointed Federal employees credit for active duty uniformed military service. This credited service can be used in determining the rate at which they earn annual leave.
