In this position, you will provide routine general clerical support to the organization for which assigned.  Typical work assignments include:

·         Performing clerical support work by applying procedures and practices within established

      guidelines.

·         Typing reports, maintaining files, arranging meetings and preparing travel requests and vouchers

as well as conducting research concerning the interpretation and application of a variety of rules and regulations.

·         Receiving and directing telephone calls and visitors.

·         Establishing, updating, and maintaining office records of various types.

You qualify for this postion at the GS-01 level if you possess one of the following: 

 

No general experience required.  

 

You qualify for this position at the GS-02 level if you possess one of the following:

 

A.  Three (3) months of general experience.  General experience is described as progressively responsible clerical, office, or other   

      work that indicates the ability to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of the position; OR

 

B.  High school graduation or equivalent

 

You qualify for this position at the GS-03 level if you possess one of the following:

 

A.  Six (6) months of general experience.  General experience is described as progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work

     that indicates the ability to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of the position; OR 

 

B.  One (1) year of education above high school; OR

 

C.  Combination of successfully completed post-high school education and experience.  This will be calculated using your resume

     and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application.

 

You qualify for this position at the GS-04 level if you possess one of the following:

 

A.  One (1) year of general experience.  General experience is described as progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates the ability to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of the position; OR

 

B.  Two (2) years of education above high school; OR  

 

C.  Combination of successfully completed post-high school education and experience.  This will be calculated using your resume

      and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application.

 

You qualify for this position at the GS-05 level if you possess one of the following:

 

A.  One full year of specialized experience.  Specialized experience is described as experience performing administrative, secretarial, or clerical duties to include reviewing and controlling mail, reviewing incoming and outgoing correspondence, and establishing and maintaining office records;  OR

 

B.  Four (4) years of education above high school; OR

 

C.  Combination of successfully completed post-high school education in excess of the first 60 semester hours and experience.  This

      will be calculated using your resume and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application.

Education above high school level can be in any field for which high school graduation or equivalent is a normal prerequisite.  This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial, or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school.

 

The qualification requirements listed above must be met within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.


 

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:
