Applicants must have 1 year of specialized
experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the
Federal service which provided the applicant
with the particular knowledge, skills and
abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must
demonstrate the following:
-Experience identifying and resolving operational security problems at assigned facilities.
-Experience overseeing physical security operations and maintenance/repairs of physical security systems to include conducting on-site inspections of security officer personnel.
-Experience serving as a liaison on physical security operations.
-Experience preparing written reports on inspection findings.
There is no substitute of education for
specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs) and other characteristics that are relevant to the duties of this position and must be fully supported by information in your resume:
1. Knowledge of physical security requirements for facilities such as access control, intrusion alarms, and locks.
2. Skill in conducting inspections of security operations and procedures to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with policies and procedures.
3. Knowledge of physical security measures and security systems to include various types of security equipment and their functional characteristics.
4. Ability to plan, coordinate, and provide guidance on technical and logistical activities surrounding facility security operations and procedures.
