Applicants must show successful completion of a full four-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in economics that included at least 21 semester/31 quarter hours in economics and 3 semester/4 quarter hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus.
Appropriate combination of education and experience---courses equivalent to a major in economics that included at least 21 semester/31 quarter hours in economics and 3 semester/4 quarter hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus and, I have one of the following experience: Conducting capital markets risk analysis at large regulated banks and/or financial enterprises.
In addition to meeting the basic entry qualification requirement above, applicants must have one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to EL-14 (GS-14) which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience include the following:
Conducting capital markets risk analysis at large regulated banks and/or financial enterprises.
A. Degree: Economics, that included at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting or calculus;
B. Combination of education and experience-courses equivalent to a major in economics, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education

Candidates who meet the basic qualification requirements for this vacancy will be rated according to Category Rating Procedures. Based on your veteran's status and responses to the job specific questioner you will be assigned to a pre-defined quality category. There will be three quality categories: Highly Qualified, Well Qualified and Qualified. Generally, only candidates in the top quality category will be referred to the hiring manager.
