This position is located at the VA Roseburg Healthcare System and supports the Facilities Management Service.  The purpose of the position is to perform administrative functions that include administration, human resource management, budget and finance, management analysis, logisitics and a variety of other related administrative matters.

Some duties of this position include:

  • Overseeing a variety of administrative programs
  • Distribution and dissemination of incoming mail
  • Records management
  • Publication and form management
  • Timekeeping
  • Performing budget execution functions to ensure that expenditures are consistent with budget formulation plans as the fiscal year progresses
  • Ensuring the overall supply needs are met in a timely manner
  • Editing and composing letter, reports and prepares public presentation outlines
  • Scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings and/or  conferences
  • Maintaining an appointment calendar
  • Planning and/or providing for the acquisition, assignment, and utiliztion of space within the organization
  • Property management duties
  • Conducting inventories
  • Provides administrative planning and oversight for a variety of special and continuing programs

Work Schedule: 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday-Friday

GS-06: To qualify at the GS-06 level you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-05 level.

GS-07:  To qualify at the GS-07 level you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-06 level.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:  Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled.  To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. 

You will be rated on the following Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other characteristics (KSAOs) as part of the assessment questionnaire for this position:

  • Ability to oversee a variety of administrative programs.
  • Ability to plan, organize and set priorities.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Ability to operate various office equipment and computer software.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  The work of this position is sedentary.  It occasionally requires carrying of light objects such as files, books and papers; some walking, standing and bending.  No special physical qualifications are required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work is typically performed in an office setting.
