GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have six months (1) any type of work that demonstrates the ability to perform the work of the position, or (2) experience that provided a familiarity with the subject matter or processes of the board subject areas of the occupation.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least six months of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
· Experience performing routine hearing tests as well as comprehensive specialized test using manual and microprocessor audiometers and tympanometers
· Experience fitting ear plugs and related protective equipment for patients
· Experience maintaining records of hearing tests and follow-up tests and tracking patient status

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: 2 years above high school that included at least 12 semester hours in subjects related to the position. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college, or university for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite.

Must keep himself/herself professionally updated to ensure his/her certification for tenure of employment in this position.
Must maintain a valid drivers license.
Must be able to operate the Mobile Occupational Hearing Conservation Audiometric Truck (MOHCAT).
On occasion, the incumbent may be secluded in a sound proof hearing test booth or work on the mobile test unit.
Some travel is required to other audiometric test facilities, Battalion Aid Stations, and other tenant commands.
A favorable Access National Agency Check with Inquiries (ANACI) background investigation is required for all non-critical sensitive positions with access to network systems.cal sensitive position.
All Naval Hospital civilian employees will be required to receive vaccinations as a condition of their employment or participation in particular job tasks IAW NAVHOSPCAMEJ INST 6230.1F. In such cases, failure to voluntarily receive vaccination may result in non-adverse or adverse action take. People who believe they warrant a medical or religious exemption from a mandatory vaccination must provide documentation with the signature of their medical provider or the Naval Hospital Chaplain.
