This vacancy is for a Ph.D.-level Research Economist position in the Office of the Chief Statistician located at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Economic Analysis in Washington, DC.
BEA's Office of the Chief Statistician performs basic and applied economic research to improve and enhance the estimates produced by BEA. The Office also investigates new ways to use BEA data to better understand the US economy. This position is for a research economist responsible for a variety of research projects intended to improve the quality, relevance, completeness and usefulness of the national economic accounts.
