Program Management Certification: Applicants must possess or be eligible for Level III Program/Project Management (P/PM) certification in accordance with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Program Manager Certification Standards, the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA), or Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers (FAC-P/PM). Applicants who currently possess or are eligible for Level II Program/Project Management (P/PM) certification and can achieve Level III certification according to DHS, DAWIA, or FAC-P/PM standards within eighteen months of the date of appointment to this position will also be considered. Recruitment or Relocation Bonus : CBP may authorize a recruitment or relocation bonus (not to exceed 25% of basic pay) for an eligible selectee. A service agreement is required.
Background Investigation: This position is a sensitive position and the tentative selectee must undergo and successfully complete a background investigation as a condition of placement/retention in the position. A security clearance is required.
Probationary Period: You will serve a one-year probationary period unless you previously completed the probationary period in the SES.
Drug Testing: This position has been identified as a Testing Designated Position under the Customs and Border Protection, Drug-Free Workplace Program. Satisfactory completion of the drug test is a condition of placement and/or employment in the position and the incumbent(s) of this position is thereafter subject to Random Drug Testing.
