Education may only be substituted in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook. IN ADDITION to meeting one of the basic entry qualifications requirements listed
above, you MUST have at least 1 year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal service.
Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following:
-Experience serving within the broad range of education arenas, including elementary, (post) secondary and special-need education levels.
-Experience in U.S. and International Independent education and the ability to generate new approches in planning, evaluating, and providing leadership to major long-range programs designed to spur significant advances in the education provided by overseas schools.
-Experience and/or knowledge of the public laws governing the multiple sources of funding for grant programs.

Applicants must meet ONE of the required basic entry qualification requirements described below:

field related to the work of the position to be filled, of which at least 9 semester hours must have been in education courses.

C.Four years of experience that demonstrated a thorough understanding of the

Serving in an assistant capacity to a professor without the authority to determine the students' success or failure to meet course requirements does not meet this criterion.
Combination of Experience and Education: First determine your total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for this grade level. Then determine your total number of successfully completed post-high school semester hours as a percentage of education required for this grade level. Then add the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify under this provision. For example, 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours is comparable to 1 full year of undergraduate education.
Note: If you are qualifying based on education OR if there are mandatory

If you fail to provide requested information, or the information you submit is insufficient to verify your eligibility, you WILL lose consideration for this position.
