As a IT Specialist in the Office of Program Management and Systems Policy (OPMSP) within the Office of Finance (OF) under the Assistant Secretary for Financial Resources (ASFR), you will serve as an Oracle Financial Specialist, leading and overseeing the Department's efforts to enhance and manage Oracle Financials environment.

  • Coordinates all development activities in support of Oracle Federal Financials and Oracle technology tools that support the agency's enterprise financial systems.
  • Participates in the development of strategic and tactical plans for the agency's financial systems portfolio.
  • Formulates expert analysis and recommendations for obtaining and/or developing new applications or new systems hardware.
  • Evaluates and establishes design criteria, complex software modules, processes, and applications.
  • Resolves critical problems in existing and planned systems.

To qualify, you must meet all four IT competencies AND the specialized experience listed below. 

 

IT Competencies:

(1) Attention to Detail - being thorough when providing oversight and evaluation of Oracle financials environments;

(2) Customer Service - consulting with customer/stakeholders to refine functional requirements and translate functional requirements into technical specifications;

(3) Oral Communication - contributing to project teams established to support financial systems;

(4) Problem Solving - resolving critical problems in existing and planned systems.

Specialized Experience:

GS-14: At least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that includes 1) coordinating development activities in support of Oracle Financials solutions; 2) performing system analyses; 3) working with cross-functional teams to identify systems modifications that will impact business processes; and 4) leading or participating in projects focusing on the monitoring, use, improvement and/or standardization of enterprise financial management systems.


Education is not applicable for this position.
