This is a Student Internship opportunity under the Pathways Program.
NIST currently has an internship position located in the Physical Measurement Laboratory, Sensor Science Division, Thermodynamic Metrology Group and will assist with acoustic thermometer development.

The student selected to fill this vacancy will assist in the assembly of the next version of the acoustic thermometer, perform measurements of the T-T90 using the acoustic thermometer, and analyze the results of measurements using spreadsheets.

To qualify, applicants must be pursuing a degree in physical science, engineering, or mathematics that includes courses in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics.

To be eligible for an Internship opportunity you must meet one of the following criteria:
You must be a current student enrolled at least half time in:
- An accredited high school
- A College (including 4-year colleges/universities, community colleges, and junior colleges)
- A Professional, technical, vocational, and trade school
- An advanced degree program
- Or other qualifying educational institution pursuing a qualifying degree or certificate.

This position has a positive education requirement. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in a field directly related to the position advertised.
