About the Position:

This position is a Central Region Command position in the Operations Directorate, DCMA A/C Integrated Maintenance OPS, DCMA St Augustine

Moving Expenses are not authorized. 

Business travel is required / Business Travel required 20% of the time.

Relocation incentive may be authorized.

·   DCMA is a combat support agency charged with providing customer focus acquisition support and contract management services to ensure DoD mission readiness, 24/7, worldwide.  As such, employee may be required to work and Alternate 40-hour Work Schedule (AWS) that may include weekend and/or second shift hours,        occasionally overtime may also be require.

·    Physical Demands: In addition to work performed at the desk, the work regularly requires extended periods of walking, standing, bending or climbing while observing manufacturing operations, witnessing tests or examining material, identifying, understanding, proofing, measuring, and analyzing processes to effect continuous process/quality improvement.

·   Work Environment: The work is typically performed in an office setting. However, there are moderate risks or discomforts on a recurring basis due to visits to contractor sites/facilities. At such times, the employee is required to take special safety precautions by wearing protective clothing or gear.

Major Duties: Industrial Specialist (AIRCRAFT) exercise surveillance over programs for Standard Depot Level Maintenance (SDLM), Periodic Depot Level Maintenance (PDM), Programmed Aircraft Restoration (PAR), Analytical Condition Inspection (Ad), Conversions, engineering changes, and spares, modification of aircraft and repair/overhaul of aircraft components at a major aerospace contractor's facility.

·          Assure progress and delivery schedules are maintained by contractors.

·          Perform studies to detect difficulties that may cause contract delinquencies.

·          Maintain surveillance of contractor's production schedules.

·          Review, evaluate and negotiate methods, materials, man-hours and schedules for over and    above requests.

·          Review, analyze and correlate computer data products.

·          Assist contractor in obtaining special material requirements.

·          Provide progress payment support to the Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO).

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS- 09).   Specialized experience is defined as: experience conducting studies and audits, performing industrial production operations and analyzing the effectiveness of production practices to support aircraft and aircraft commodities.


In addition to meeting the basic entry qualification requirements, applicants must have specialized experience and/or directly related education. Review the below qualification requirements for specific information on substituting education for experience:

For the GS-09 Level - 2 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education or masters or equivalent graduate degree or LL.B. or J.D.

For the GS-11 Level - 3 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

Only degrees from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education are acceptable to meet positive education requirements or to substitute education for experience.
