Basic Requirements: Applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible:
GS-05: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level in the Federal Service OR successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with major study or at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as biology, chemistry, statistics, animal husbandry, physics, agriculture or mathematics; 6 hours must be directly related to the position, such as chemistry, biology or animal husbandry.
GS-06: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in the Federal Service OR six months of graduate education directly related to the work of the position.
GS-07: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in the Federal Service OR one full year of graduate education directly related to the work of the position.
Specialized experience is experience which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position stated below.
Specialized experience is experience directly related to the position to be filled. The specialized experience requirements for this position are:
1. Knowledge of biological science methods and procedures in order to perform technical duties in the area of nutrition and growth and development.
2. Ability to operate and maintain equipment and instruments.
3. Ability to use personal computers and software packages to collect, record, analyze, and summarize data.
