JOB SUMMARY:

U.S. Army Fort Hood Garrison provides standardized, effective and efficient services, facilities and infrastructure to the joint expeditionary force, it's families, and civilians.

Acts as the liaison between the Fort Hood Garrison Command, Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (DFMWR) Leadership and DFMWR staff to coordinate and advise on FMWR programs and services at Fort Hood.

Acts as the liaison between the Fort Hood Garrison Command, Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (DFMWR) Leadership and DFMWR staff to coordinate and advise on FMWR programs and services at Fort Hood.

Implements Rick Assessments/Risk Management and safety requirements for the Directorate's programs to DOD Safety and Health standards; Fire Prevention; Industrial Safety; Industrial Hygiene; Health Communication. Consults with Occupational Health and Installation Safety Officer on safety issues when needed. Serves as the DFMWR advisor to supervisors and managers on matters involving accident and fire prevention. Performs Composite Risk Management. Responsible for the annual safety inspection and follow up of deficiencies.

Responsible for the implementation of physical security and personnel security programs. Interprets and develops general policy direction for security applications. Ensures compliance with established security related directives. Monitors JPAS to ensure security requirements are met for employees of the directorate. Responsible for verification of data for periodic security clearances.

Ensures appropriate force protection measures are established and maintained at each FMWR facility, program, and event. Ensures RAM measures are in place monthly. Sits on the Force Protection Working Group and Anti Terrorism Working Group.

Acts as the main point of contact for the directorate at the Command Emergency Management Center during exercises or actual disastrous events. Coordinates all DFMWR movements for personnel, equipment and actions during disaster. Responsible for shelter management & evacuations in relationship to FMWR facilities and personnel. Sits on the Installation Emergency Management Working Group & CMT Response Team.

 

Performs other duties as assigned.

Work experience directly related to the duties to be performed. Must have knowledge of DA/DOD Safety rules and regulations, OPSEC, Anti-Terrorism (level 1), Force Protection & JPAS.


 

Conditions of employment:

 1. A one-year probationary period may be required upon selection.

5. Priority consideration will be given to current and former NAF and current DOD APF employees serving in a continuous APF position without time limits for at least one year.

Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13i. Must obtain & maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Incumbent will be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Call back and emergency duty may be required.
