JOB SUMMARY:

The FMWRC mission is to create and maintain "FIRST CHOICE" MWR products and services for America's Army, essential to a ready, self-reliant force.Fort Drum-The Army's Best Kept Secret

This is a Standing Register vacancy that will be used to fill positions as they occur. Applications have an eligibility of 3 months. After that time frame, applications will become inactive. Your application will not be reviewed until a vacancy is received and matches your eligibility. This position is located at Fort Drum, NY near Watertown and the Canadian border; not near Syracuse nor New York City.  This vacancy is used to fill a position at the Commons.  Most positions are flexible with no guaranteed amount of hours, no entitlements to health, life, retirement benefits, annual or sick leave.  This vacancy announcement may also be used to fill regular part time and regular full time positions.  Noncompetitive procedures may be used in converting a flexible position to regular part time or regular full time, or in changing a regular part time position to regular full time.  Work schedule my be irregular (0-39 hours per week as needed).  The incumbent may be required to work shift work, nights, weekends and holidays.

Sets tables, arranges place settings and table decorations.  Receives guests, makes suggestions and answers questions about food, wines and other items available.  Takes orders.  Places order with and receives food and beverages from kitchen and bar when required.  Maintains sales records.  Collects cash or payment by credit card.  Clears and cleans tables and other customer service areas.

Candidates must possess basic math skills necessary to compute patron bills and make change.  Be able to communicate effectively in English. 


Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays and special events.

Must be 21 years of age to serve alcohol.

 

 Conditions of employment:

 1. A one-year probationary period may be required upon selection.
