Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet the following qualification requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:
GS-09: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-07) in the Federal service or equivalent public or private sector assisting in administering activities related to human research protection; providing support to insure compliance of statues, regulations, and/or directives dealing with human subjects participating in research; and preparing and/or maintaining files for each human subject research protocol.
Education may be substituted for experience at the GS-09 level as follows: Completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree OR a LL.B. or J.D., if related to this position OR have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
GS-11: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-09) in the Federal service or equivalent public or private sector assisting in administering activities related to human research protection; providing support to insure compliance of statues, regulations, and/or directives dealing with human subjects participating in research; preparing and/or maintaining files for each human subject research protocol; and communicating with senior level executives and/or program directors on the human protocol review process, approval procedures, and/or human protection research.
Education may be substituted for experience at the GS-11 level as follows: Completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree OR a LL.M., if related to this position OR a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
