The Nursing Program Practice Director is responsible for the overall administrative and clinical coordination, planning, organization and operation of nursing programs in the Primary Care Service Line.
Each of the four service lines: Mental Health, Primary Care, Extended Care and Surgical Care have a Nursing Program Practice Director (NPPD) who oversees the service's nursing components. The four NPPD report directly to the Nursing Professional Community over seen by the Associate Nurse Executive and the Nurse Executive.
The VA Central Iowa Health Care System provides a full continuum of care between the Des Moines campus and our Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) and is one of the Medical Centers that make up the VA Midwest Health Care Network (VISN 23).
The applicant selected for this position may be eligible to apply for an Education Debt Reduction Program award based on the availability of funding at the time of selection.
