The USDA Forest Service has legislative authority to recruit and fill Permanent (Career/Career-Conditional), Temporary, and Term Appointments under the USDA Demonstration Project. Under this authority, any U.S. citizen may apply.

This position is located in Region 1, on the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests, Central Zone, duty station may either be the Lochsa Ranger District, Kooskia ID or the Moose Creek Ranger District, 28 miles east of Kooskia on the Selway River.

This is a Wildlife Biologist position on the Central Zone, Nez Perce - Clearwater National Forests. The position is responsible for providing professional wildlife expertise in the protection, management, and improvement of wildlife within the framework of multiple-use management of forest and range lands.
