This position is located in the Assistant Commissioner Revenue Collections Management, Collections and Deposits Group, Settlement Services Division, Washington, DC. The Settlement Services Division’s mission is to centrally manage the presentment and settlement of transactions acquired by all collection programs within Revenue Collections Management. The Division also provides settlement advice and guidance to other Divisions that build and operate revenue collection systems. It provides the middleware systems and interfaces through which collection program transactions are presented for settlement into the U.S. payments system. It represents FMS in payments industry standards bodies and payments system associations. It manages the relationships with the key stakeholders in the payments system, including clearinghouses, card associations, and the Federal Reserve product offices.
This announcement is for a Settlement Services position that will manage the Federal government's card acquiring (debit and credit card transaction presentment and settlement) program. The specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the job include comprehensive, in-depth experience with and knowledge of debit and credit card transaction presentment systems, operational processes and card networks' rules.
