National Guard Membership is Required : This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the South Carolina Army National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.

DUTIES:

This position is located in the Military Duty (AGR) Managment Branch of the Support Personnel Managment Office.  The purpose of this position is to serve as the full-time health systems representative on all AGR Medical Department (AMEDD) related matters, and to function as a key assistant to the Military Peronnel Management Specialist (MPMS) in administering the AGR medical program of the state on a day to day basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Requirement: Experience in administrative or technical work which demonstrates the applicant's knowledge of missions, originations, programs, and requirements of health care delivery systems; ability to analyze problems and present both oral and written recommendations taking into consideration the wide range of factors and requirements which affect the management of the health care delivery system. AND

Undergraduate or Graduate Education with major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration.

Meeting the months of experience requirement will not by itself be accepted as proof of qualification. Quality, type, and scope of experience, training or education must be demonstrated to show that the applicant is fully qualified to perform duties at the grade level announced. 

Specialized Experience: You MUST have 24 months experience in EACH of the following KSAs:

1. Experience which provided a working knowledge of missions, organizations, programs and requirements of health care delivery systems.

2. Experience analyzing and recommending solutions to complicated problems.

3. Experience developing and implementing various policies and procedures used in the state medical programs.

4. Experience involving various administrative areas such as budget, personnel and public relations within a medical activity.

5. Experience and knowledge regarding medical issues, and proficient use with medical terminology that allows precise communication of medical illness, injury and disease states to medical and nonmedical personnel within the Civilian and Military Medical Healthcare System.


REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Undergraduate or Graduate Education with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administation.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: 

Employees selected for full-time positions that require mandatory training at the National Guard Professional Education Center (NGPEC) will have 12 months from the date of hire to complete the required course(s). Failure to complete NGB prescribed courses at NGPEC for new personnel within the first year of employment may be cause for reassignment or termination. 

Enlisted Cash Bonuses: Acceptance of a technician position may affect any bonus and/or educational assistance that may be applicable. Your bonus may be terminated and repayment may be required. 

Permanent Change of Station (PCS) cost is not authorized,  based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the interst of the Government. 

For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they love or are principally employed.
