In this position, you will provide "World Class" customer service in responding to requests for military records.

Position is with the National Archives and Records Administration, National Personnel Records Center, located at 1 Archives Drive, Spanish Lake, MO.  This position is open at GS-04 with promotion potential to GS-05/06.

As an Archives Technician in a records center environment you are responsible for providing customer service in responding to requests for records. Typical work assignments include:

 

  • analyzing inquiries related to military records
  • preparing responses to requests
  • communicating with all levels of customers

GS-04 - Candidates must have had one (1) year of general experience which is progressively responsible clerical, office or other work which shows that you have the ability to obtain the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled. 

 

Education may be substituted for experience.  GS-04: Two years of education beyond high school from an accredited institution.

 

Combination of Experience and Education:  You may use a combination of your post-high school education and experience to meet the total experience requirements of the GS-04 level.

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:
