JOB SUMMARY:

Located just five minutes from the heart of Fort Knox, Camp Carlson Army Recreational Area spans 65 acres of natural beauty, with a 25 acre lake that Catfish, Bluegill, Crappie, and Bass call home. Camp Carlson is the perfect setting for an escape week, weekend, or day and is ideal for Unit, family and extended family outings.


Business Manager for the Camp Ground and RV sites to include Entertainment Lodge, Family and single cabins, Travel trailer and tent rentals and lots, picnic and playground areas, and lake fishing with boat rentals.

  • Manages Business activity
  • Develops, recommends, and enforces operating procedures along with cash and assets controls
  • Represents the activity to the public
  • Conducts customer surveys, reviews usage/sales to make recommendations concerning services
  • Promotes activity and revenue improvements
  • Supervises assigned staff to include on-the-job training of new employees, making duty assignments consistent with operational requirements, and responsibility for schedulling, leave, and performance appraisals
  • Develops budget
  • Evaluates financial statements, reviewing costs against revenues
  • Recommends improvements in merchandise and marketing

Work experience, education, or a combination of both directly related to the duties to be performed.

 

Highly Qualified Criteria: Completion of the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds Management Course; knowledge of financial management policies and procedures; two years experience or education related to the duties to be performed.


Highly Qualified applicants may provide transcripts or other proof of courses taken directly related to the duties to be performed if using education as a portion the the qualifying criteria.

 

Conditions of employment:

 

1. A one-year probationary period may be required upon selection.

2. You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

3.
