This position is located in the Division of Information Technology , Business Administration Branch, Sourcing and Financial Services Section of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides information technology (IT) leadership and services in support of the FDIC, including policy and program direction related to the development, implementation, and maintenance of information systems; management of telecommunications networks, hardware and software; and servicing the information needs and requests of users within and outside the Corporation. The candidate selected will be offered a term appointment not-to-exceed 2 years, which may be extended to a maximum of four years based on workload requirements and organizational staffing authorizations.

Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the grade 13 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience conducting studies, making recommendations and analyzing results, as well as experience that included information technology (IT) contracting oversight management responsibilities, or contract officer/specialist responsibilities.
There is no substitution of education for the experience for this position.

- Knowledge of acquisition strategies, procurement and contract administration policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Ability to formulate and recommend alternative procedures or plans of action and assess and interpret the interrelationships of each alternative with Agency systems, workload, and objectives.
- Knowledge of IT contract management and financial practices and procedures for the acquisition of IT support.
- Ability to communicate orally with both senior executives and IT technical experts.
- Ability to communicate in writing with both senior executives and IT technical experts.
