Would you like to help TRICARE Management Activity provide a world-class health system that supports the military mission by fostering, protecting, sustaining and restoring health?

This position is located in the Implementation & Transition Division, Directorate for Enterprise Infrastructure, Office of the Chief Medical Office, TMA, Office of the Military Health System (MHS) Chief Information Officer, Assistant Secretary of Defense Health Affairs.  You will serve as a principal staff officer and information management technology authority and focal points for deployment of enterprise communications and computing infrastructure (C&CI).  You will direct, administer, and advise on work related to the control, development, and deployment of network infrastructure and MHS automated information systems (AISs) for Enterprise Infrastructure.

  • Directing, developing and maintaining project management plans for the control, deployment, and sustainment of major functions within the network infrastructure and associated support services to support and integrate with MHS AISs
  • Utilizing expert knowledge of networks and information systems to provide network infrastructure services to deliver and support end-users with products and services required for daily patient care operations
  • Leading and directing the analysis and effects of integrating current networks and AISs in order to deploy new network infrastructures
  • Providing network and computer solutions to medical information issues
  • Applying technological analysis techniques to assess design methodologies of new LAN/WAN infrastructure that supports major medical information systems

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position.


Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing project management advice in the deployment of enterprise communications and computing infrastructure; analyzing new LAN/WAN infrastructure that supports major medical information systems; and providing network infrastructure customer support service.


In addition to the specialized experience, all applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
