This position is located in the Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation.   The incumbent will plan, develop, implement and administer the Soldier and Family Assistance Center (SFAC) activity Information, Referral, and Follow-up Program, providing an integrated system of service delivery which links clients with available and appropriate resources at the lowest cost and without duplication of effort.   Work requires knowledge of SFAC Information Referral and Follow Up Program objectives and regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to the various elements of the program in order to coordinate and conduct activities and services. Knowledge of the variety of services and resources available through military and civilian organizations and agencies to provide appropriate information and referral. Skill in oral communication with individuals and groups, to provide information, advice or assistance as to services and resources available, and to coordinate services with other organizations and employers. Knowledge of practices and procedures used in developing lesson plans and providing briefings. Knowledge of entry, command, and action codes to retrieve standardized reports and search for special reports.   Detailed knowledge of technical program vocabulary, and skill in writing to prepare narrative reports, correspondence and lesson plans, brochures and other materials concerning the SFAC Activity Information, Referral and Follow-up Program.

Specialized experience: In order to qualify applicants must identify in their resume that they possess one (1) year of specialized experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA''s) to perform sucessfully the duties of the position equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS-7 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Proving Crisis Intervention counseling; 2) able to conduct intake evaluations; 3) compile, organize and consolidate information on service organization.

 

AND/OR

 

Two (2) years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Masters degree in Behavior or Social Science.

 

 

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:
