As a Motor Vehicle Operator, in the Fleet Management & Operations Management, Office of General Services Management, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Operations, you will responsible for delivering a full range of fleet-related services.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have and retain a valid state Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger and airbreak endorsements for vehicles up to 36,500 lbs. driver's license. Applicants must also demonstrate the ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision that included: safely transporting passengers, equipment, and cargo; modifying routes and maintaining control of a vehicle; inspecting vehicles for damage and needed repairs; maintaining a log of trips made; and operating electrical/hydraulic machines and equipment to load supplies on to vehicles or assist passengers. May be required to attend and successfully complete periodic defensive/evasive driver training.
Position will serve as Emergency Essential personnel on a rotational basis.
Time-in-Grade: Current and former permanent Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade level of the grade level being filled for this position.
All qualification requirements must be met by midnight (Eastern Time) on the closing date of this vacancy announcement.
