The Flight Loads Laboratory is NASA Dryden¿s facility for conducting thermal and structural ground tests on aircraft, components, and payloads. These tests include mechanical loading, aerodynamic heating simulations, and modal surveys. Incumbent serves as the Lead Engineering Technician in the Flight Loads Laboratory leading a team of electronics and mechanical technicians, responsible for performing modifications, fabrication, repairs, maintenance,
installation, troubleshooting, and system calibration on complex and advanced electronic and mechanical systems and equipment. The incumbent is responsible for direction, work load distribution and other administrative assignments required within the scope of the leadership position. Works on the design, fabrication, layout, modification, diagnosis and repair, maintenance, installation operations, and troubleshooting of test systems and test setups in the Flight Loads Laboratory.
Travel and relocation expenses will not be authorized.
