The incumbent serves as the Associate Regional Director and is the principle administrative manager of the Southeast Region.  The incumbent is responsible for the planning, policy, management and execution, and supervision of all administrative management activities for the Region.  Administrative functions include Human Resources, Budget, Finance, Contracting, Property Management and Information Management.  The incumbent oversees and provides administrative support and advisory services to 66 sites in a nine state area and the Caribbean Islands, as well as to four Administrative Service Units and the Regional Director's staff.  The incumbent is the senior advisor in these areas and the directly related functional areas through subordinate components and staff.

Specialized Experience:  Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the federal service.  Specialized experience for this position includes experience in the planning, policy, management and execution of all administrative functions for an organization.

Time-In-Grade: Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.  This requires applicants who have held a GS position at any time within the past 52 weeks to have served at least 52 weeks at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for this occupation.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

 

Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will be paid if the person selected for the position is from outside the local commuting area is otherwise eligible for reimbursement of relocation expenses under the Federal Travel Regulations.

 

Government housing is not available.

 

Overtime work may be required.

 

Some Travel is required.

 

Incumbent will be required to complete a managerial probationary period if one has not been completed in the past.

 

The selectee will be required to complete a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, prior to entering on duty and annually thereafter.
