This position will serve as the Administrative Specialist for the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE).

Provide administrative management services essential to the establishment and operation of the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) facilities, staff organization, support structure, office functions, and contract interface. Support the Executive Director & Associate Director for Operations and have administrative interactions with NCCoE staff, state government activities, Office of General Counsel, and the NIST Director.

To qualify for this position, applicants must have one of the following:

(1) one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 (ZA-I level at NIST) in

collecting, analyzing, and evaluating data and making recommendations based on that data to management or senior staff.

OR

(2) Superior Academic Achievement - meet one of the following superior academic achievement criteria --
 A)  CLASS STANDING - Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration based on completed courses. In order to be creditable under this provision, superior academic achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be
filled;
B)  GRADE-POINT AVERAGE (GPA) - Applicants must have a grade-point average of:

i.  2.9 or higher out of a possible 4.0 as recorded on their official transcripts, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final two years
of the curriculum; or
ii.  3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 (B+ or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final two years of the curriculum;

C)  ELECTION TO MEMBERSHIP IN A NATIONAL SCHOLASTIC HONOR SOCIETY - Applicants can be considered eligible based on membership in a national honor society recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies. Membership in a freshman honor society cannot be used to meet the requirements this provision.
OR

(3) one full year of graduate level education in a relevant field of study from an accredited college or university which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position.

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:

We will review your resume and cover letter to determine if you meet the minimum qualification requirements for the position. If you meet the qualification requirements stated in the vacancy announcement, we will then compare your resume and supporting documentation to your responses to the job questionnaire (which will be scored) and place you in one of the three pre-defined categories. Your responses to the job questionnaire will serve as the basis for your initial rating in one of three pre-defined categories "gold," "silver," and "bronze."
