JOB SUMMARY:

Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission.  They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations.  The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.

NOTE: THIS POSITION FALLS UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY AGENCY (NSA).

 

About the Position:

Fort Meade is located almost midway between the cities of Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC and is home to approximately 10,000 military personnel along with about 25,000 civilian employees. Approximately 6,000 family members reside on post. Fort Meade is virtually a city in itself, with a modern exchange mall, a commissary, state of the art fitness centers, historical library, RV Park and much more.  Army employees at Fort

Meade enjoy other privileges such as use of the fitness center, child and youth care center, employee assistance program, Post Museum, Thrift Shop, discounted tickets for some community events and jogging trails.  This

Serve as the technical and administrative supervisor over the DOL Transportation Division, NSA Sub Pool Section.  You will exercise full supervisory responsibility over work operations.  You will control work operations and accomplish an adequate quantity and quality of work.  Work is reviewed for efficient and economical accomplishment within priorities and controls received.

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:

 

Must possess a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL). CDL must be Class A Endorsement Passenger (P) License.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET Security Clearance.

Must obtain and maintain Department of Transportation Physical.

Must be able to pass Random Drug Testing.

Must be able to obtain and maintain an ACCESS Badge for Top Secret Clearance.


This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R (Condition of Employment for Certain Positions Identified as Critical Under the Drug Abuse Testing Program) and must pass urinalysis testing, as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
