Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-07). Specialized experience is defined as: Providing professional advocacy services to victims or survivors of sexual assualt and sexual harassment; conducting assessments with clients to evaluate needs and risks; recognizing the need for professional intervention and refering to appropriate services; maintaining partnerships in the community, and conducting training/seminars on sexual assault/sexual harassment.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, and abilities) in the following areas:
Education: To qualify at the GS-09 using education, you must possess a a completed Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
Combination of Specialized Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the GS-09 grade level, and may be computed by first determining the applicant's total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining the applicant's education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at that grade level. (When crediting education that requires specific course work, prorate the number of hours of related courses required as a proportion of the total education to be used.)

FOREIGN EDUCATION: To receive credit for education completed outside the United States, you must show proof that the education has been submitted to a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign educational credentials and such education has been deemed at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education programs.
In addition to meeting the qualifications listed above, you must also meet one of the following:
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
Combination of education and experience -- that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
· Secret security clearance required.
· Position is non-sensitive and requires a personnel security investigation on a post-appointment basis only.

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:
