Major duties and responsibilities include:  The incumbent performs duties under the general supervision of the Facility's Construction Team Lead. Typical assignments include, but are not limited to, construction and installation work in the following trades: carpentry, masonry/plastering, and painting. Work is performed from plans, blueprints, sketches, work orders, verbal information and technical manuals.

 

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:  Frequently handles or carries 50 pounds and more with assistance.  Heavy exertion is required at frequent intervals. Work requires pushing, lifting, reaching, walking, stooping, climbing, and exposure to heat/cold and excessive noise, confined areas, inclement weather, to include slippery and uneven surfaces. Must be able to work from ladders and platforms, and work in awkward positions. Incumbent may be assigned to work areas where potentially harmfully physical and chemical agents are present. These agents may include, but are not limited to fumes, dust, noise, heat, and chemicals. Personal protection equipment is required and will be provided.
