Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.

Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield are the Army's world-class training, and military armored power projection combination on the Eastern Seaboard of the United States.

Club Stewart is a beautiful facility with 7 function rooms that can accommodate 50-500 guests. It is the largest facility of its type within a 50 mile radius. Dinner theatre, comedy nights, catered events, military social events and unit functions including balls and dining-ins are just a few of the options available to the Hinesville and Fort Stewart communities during the evening hours. We are looking for dedicated, reliable, and motivated individuals to join our team in providing quality hospitality services to our military and their families.

Club Stewart requires a Chef to execute day to day operations and catered events. The incumbent will manage food service for Thunder Run, club functions and catered events. This a regular full-time (40 hours) position with flexible hours. Hours will be dictated by the club functions and catering events.

Plans and manages the day-to-day operation of a food service program in a club where formal dining and catering are a regular, substantial basis of the total food operation. Develops daily, catering and specialty menus. Prepares food to contract orders for private parties, special events, etc. Develops operation budget, identifying labor, equipment and supply cost elements. Directs subordinates in all phases of food preparation. Evaluate subordinates job performance. Includes other job related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification

2 years specialized experience managing day-to-day operations of a food service program with a formal catering and dining program

OR Completion of an Accredited Culinary Program.  

 

Highly Qualified:

Prepare food to contract orders for events such as, but not limited to private functions, parties, wedding, and etc.)Cook variety of foods for (e.g.  Hotel restaurants, clubs, resorts, and fine dining restaurants)

 

Experience and education that supports your qualifications must be reflected on your resume.  Failure to do so may result in an ineligible rating.


Education:

Completed an Accredited Culinary Program.

 

Conditions of employment:

You must be willing to work, nights, weekends, and holiday.

  

1. A one-year probationary period may be required upon selection.
