This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of a Materials Handler without more than normal supervision such as: receiving, storing, and issuing products and supplies, using automated systems to enter and extract data, performing inventories of product/supplies; and operating and performing preventive maintenance on heavy equipment (e.g. forklifts, mobile stock selectors and high rise automated storage and retrieval vehicles.

This position is a full-time term appointment not to exceed 1 year and 1 day. Term appointments may be extended up to 4 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations. This position may be terminated at any time before the established not-to-exceed date.
Selectee is required to participate in the Department of Defense direct deposit of pay program.
Incumbent must complete and pass a pre-employment physical.
Incumbent will occasionally travel away from the normal duty station.
Incumbent must be willing and able to travel on Military and commercial air craft.
Incumbent maybe required to work overtime and on an emergency basis.
Incumbent maybe recalled to duty.
This position requires the incumbent to work under adverse environmental conditions.
Incumbent must have the ability to discern colors, contrast and depth.
Incumbent is required to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid drivers license is required for this position.
Incumbent must possess the applicable license(s) or authorizations(s) to operate assigned equipment.
PHYSICAL EFFORT: Works on hard surfaces and in work areas that require standing, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. May lift and carry weight up; to 50 pounds. May handle heavier items with weight lifting equipment or with assistance from other workers.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is done inside and outside in areas that may be hot, damp, cold, drafty or poorly lighted. Employee is regularly exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes and bruises, falls from ladders, falling material or injury from equipment. Maybe exposed to dust, dirt, grease, solvents and high noise areas while working in a mechanized work area, or radiation, toxins, explosives hazards, or chemical fumes while working in a hazardous materials area. May be required to wear protective clothing such as hard hats, steel toed shoes, rubber gloves, masks and rubber aprons.
