As an Office Automation Clerk in the Office of the General Counsel, Region IX, you will produce a wide range of documents and perform miscellaneous clerical support to office staff.

  • Uses varied and advanced functions of word processing to create, format, modify, edit and print a variety of textual documents (i.e. letters, reports, and memos).

In order to be qualified for this position, you must possess one of the following:

A. One year of progressively responsible clerical, office, or similar work that demonstrates the ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of an Office Automation Clerk.  - OR -
B. Two years of education above the high school level (60 semester hours) in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. - OR -
C. A combination of experience described in letter A above and post high school education described in letter B above.

In addition, you must possess the ability to type 40 words per minute based on a five minute sample with three or fewer errors.

1.
