Assist journeyman electricians in electrical installation, maintenance and repair work by securing panel boards to walls and ceilings to accommodate raceways and conduits, drawing wires through walls and ceilings, soldering wire connections, attaching fixture mounting brackets and fixtures, connecting wires and outlets, installing lights and switches, replacing defective outlets, and other similar types of duties. Read and interpret schematics and one line drawings.

Qualification requirements in the vacancy announcements are based on the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook, which contains federal qualification standards. The applicant's overall background of experience, education and training must clearly demonstrate the ability to perform sub-journey level electrician duties such as those described in this announcement without more than normal supervision. Applicants must also meet the following screen out element:

This position will work 10 hours a day for 4 days a week. So, you have a 4-day work week and 3-day weekend. You'll work Monday thru Thursday or Tuesday thru Friday. This position is covered by the Federal Wage System.
