This position is located in Facilities and Support Services Division (FSSD), Office of the Department of the Navy/Assistant for Administration (DON/AA) in Arlington, Virginia. You will serve as a Transportation Support Services Specialist for the DON/AA FSSD Customer Service Center, providing a variety of administrative support services essential to the operation of a productive and efficient Customer Service Center. You will serve as the customers’ personalized representative for facilities support services and transportation benefits. Responsibilities include ensuring that services are easily obtained, meeting the customer’s satisfaction/ requirements, and resolving short term problems quickly and efficiently.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

As a Transportation Support Services Specialist, your duties may include but are not limited to:

·         Providing administrative support services essential to the operations of the Customer Service Center.

·         Serving as the customers’ representative for facilities support services and transportation benefits.

·         Ensuring services are obtained to meet the customer’s satisfaction/ requirements.

·         Resolving parking or transportation short term problems to aide customers.

For the GS-11 position: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 in the Federal service or equivalent private or public sector experience providing administrative transportation support services to include: facilitating access for parking request or temporary parking clearances; providing guidance on policies or regulations on transportation program inquiries; and conducting surveys to identify parking/transportation needs or trends.

Substitution of Education for the GS-11:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

 

OR-

 

Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree

 

OR-

 

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

 

For the GS-12 position: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience providing administrative transportation support services to include: overseeing transportation programs such as parking programs, mass transit benefit programs or Executive Motor Pool services; facilitating access for parking requests or temporary parking clearances; and providing guidance on policies or regulations to customers on transportation program inquiries.
