This position is located in the Division of Resolutions and Receiverships, Field Operations Branch, Dallas, Texas and is responsible for providing technical support for one or more of the resolution and receiverships operations areas.

The candidate selected will be offered a term appointment not-to-exceed 2 years, which may be extended to a maximum of four years based on workload requirements and organizational staffing authorizations.

The range of pay shown includes base pay plus supplemental locality adjustments. The locality rate for the Dallas, TX area is 14.99%. For information on FDIC locality rates, click here.

Provides technical support for one or more of the resolution and/or receiverships operational areas. Participates in financial institution closings; assists in researching and responding to inquiries from corporate employees, the financial community and the general public. Establishes and maintains files, records, correspondence and information using automated systems; reviews files, records and other materials to identify and correct technical deficiencies in the documentation. Assists in reviewing, reconciling, processing and preparing a variety of financial related cases and pertinent documents; and inputs, maintains and monitors logs and records. Performs a variety of administrative tasks, including time keeping, planning meetings and conferences and miscellaneous clerical tasks such as copying, faxing, etc.

Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 6 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience working with general accounting techniques and financial institution operations that included reviewing financial documents relating to settlement transactions, participation agreements and a variety of loan products.

There is no substitution of education for the experience for this position.

1. Knowledge of financial-related documents relating to settlement transactions, loan documents, collateral, participation agreements, different types of loan products and how each product accrues interest in order to prepare, review, process and reconcile documents.

2. Ability to apply financial institution knowledge to asset disposition and receivership operations in order to provide clerical and/or technical support and resolve technical deficiencies in assigned area.

3. Knowledge of a variety of PC software applications in order to establish and maintain record and filing systems.

4. Ability to communicate orally in order to establish relationships with stakeholders and research and respond to inquiries.

5. Ability to communicate in writing in order to research, coordinate and prepare a variety of financial related case documents.
